Kwabena Osei-Boateng
Managing Director, Investment Banking

Kwabena is responsible for running the Firm's investment banking business globally. Kwabena has several years’ experience in investment banking and management consulting across several geographic markets. Across Africa, Kwabena has advised several companies in various countries, including Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Congo and South Africa.

Prior to rejoining IC Securities in an executive capacity, Kwabena worked as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company. Prior to that, Kwabena spent several years specialising in Telecoms, Media & Technology Investment Banking, first working for JP Morgan and then for LongAcre Partners (now a part of Jefferies & Company).

Kwabena holds an M.Eng (Hons) degree in Engineering, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford and an MBA from the Harvard Business School, where he received first-year honors.

John Gadzi
Managing Director, Advisory

John is responsible for the Firm’s Equity Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions and Financial Advisory businesses globally. John spent the last six years prior to joining the Firm in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York and was a Vice President responsibile for key sub-sectors in the Industrials group. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, John served as a Manager at Lucent Technologies, Inc., focusing on corporate strategy and business development. John began his career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Banks and Financial Institutions Group at Salomon Smith Barney, Inc.

John holds a Bachelor of Science (Magna Cum Laude) in Finance from the University of Maryland and a Master of Business Administration (Honours), Finance Major from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.

Eric Appiah
Executive Director, Debt Capital Markets

Eric co-heads the Firm’s Capital Markets team and brings a wealth of experience in debt structuring and financing. Prior to joining IC Securities, he was most recently the Senior Fixed Income Credit Research Analyst for Cairn Capital in London, UK. At Cairn, he was responsible for investment grade & high yield research and leverage finance loan assets. Mr. Appiah previously served as a Vice-President on the credit derivatives trading desk and in the fixed income research team at Bear Stearns. He began his career at Deutsche Bank in the Global Markets FX Margin Trading business and went on to work as a hedge fund research analyst at Fortune Asset Management in London.

Eric holds both a BSc. In Mathematics & Statistics and an MSc. in Corporate Risk & Security Management from the University of Southampton. He is registered as an Approved Person by the United Kingdom’s Financial Services Authority, is certified as a Financial Risk Manager by the Global Association of Risk Professionals and is a level 3 exam candidate for the Chartered Financial Analyst program. Eric has also attended continuing professional development courses, including one on the Technical & Financial Appraisal of Oil & Gas Projects at Imperial University, UK.
